White House students film festival – 16 official selections

On 3rd March 2014, hours before the 86th Academy Awards The President of United States conducted his own film festival – yes first students film festivals. White House received almost 2,500 official entries and 16 of the lucky winners got to the finals.

“Today the Oscar goes to all of you because, among all the incredible videos we received, yours stood out,” said Obama. “Like all great movies, yours do something special. They tell a story, they help us understand, in this case, the amazing things that are going on in classrooms and how technology is empowering our students and broadening their imaginations, challenging them to dream bigger and reach further.”

The short films were limited to a maximum of three minutes. Here are all the 16 official entries of White House students film festival 2014.
